Free to check in online 30 hours before departure, use phone app for check in, multiple passes on a single phone is fine

Or you can rock up and check in at the desk on the day, all you really need is your passport but you should have the reference number (this will begin with 2)

Aer Lingus don't play funny business with charging for check in and will if possible allocate seats together for all on the same ticket

I have this terrible anxiety or fear of being left at the air port in malaga because I shouldv printed out boarded passes and checked in online.
Once I know I can go to the airport and there will be a airlines staff member there than its ok

There will be at least 2 possibly 3 staffed Aer Lingus staffed check in desks at Malaga.

Provided you show up at the airport in time you won't be left behind, be there at least 2 hours before departure

You see myself and a friend had a bad ryanair experience so it's made me nervous.

I can confirm what poster goingnowhere has said above, Aer Lingus will have 2 or 3 staffed check-in desks. They won't be wearing green uniforms, they will probably be locals working for a ground handling agency but check the information board when you get to the departures terminal and it will give you the desk numbers to go to for your Aer Lingus flight, my point here being that you will not see prominent 'Aer Lingus' signs in the check-in area as you can in Dublin or Heathrow. And you will not be charged a cent for not having your boarding passes already printed.

If you have a smartphone, install the Aer Lingus app and then beginning 30 hours before the flight home, you can select your seats for free and you'll be guaranteed to be sitting together. You can also download the boarding pass(es) to the phone which (if you have carry-on bags only) will allow you to bypass the check-in desk in the airport but if you are checking in bags, you needn't bother with that as the check-in clerk will print the boarding passes for you.

Thanks you so much for reassuring me on this.
I will proberly get my sister to help me check in from home and print boarding passes before we go
But then when it's time to leave malaga at least I don't have to freak out if they will give me boarding pass at airport.
I take it I would just need my booking reference to give to aer lingus check in staff ?

Unless there's another person with the same name booked on your flight, it's sufficient to simply hand over your passport. But it's no harm to have it written on a piece of paper just in case.

The booking reference is handy if you're checking in at one of the self-service machines as scanning your passport can be a pain.

If you are staying in a hotel, only a right dump would not print out your boarding passes for you.
