Anyone here have one of these and care to comment what they are like , my wife bought a 2010 1.5 DCI 86bhp and I am thinking of getting one with the more powerful engine. (newer than 2010 if I can)

What are they like on diesel, I assume they have a DPF or Renault's version of same?

Have one six months following advice from here. 25000km later I am pretty happy.

    Very nice to drive.

    I do 1100km a week on around 60 euro.

The best I can get is around 62mpg. I have settled on around 56-57mpg.

The latest iteration of the DCI engine is very smooth compared to the last. While the previous version is very solid, it is a little on the rough side. Current one is very smooth

Thanks for that, I have my eye on a 2012 one in another dealer, did you get an AA/RAC check done before you purchased?

I assume the 2012 Facelift has this newer version?

The facelift came out in late 2013 and got redesigned front headlights, bumper and grill with a large Renault badge over the older one.

If your going to the UK for a car then have a look at either the 1.6 dCi or 2.0 dCi also, 1.6 has 130bhp and is rare to find here but will offer similar fuel economy to the 1.5, 2.0 was never officially sold in Ireland but has 150bhp so it has a very nice bit of punch over the 1.5 dCi in the Megane.

I didn't. Car was very clean. Car had full service history. It was bought in Charles Hurst and serviced there every year (I assume as part of a PCP) since purchase then traded in.

The offered a 6 month Renault warranty so I took my chances.

Extremely happy so far but early days.

Don't think the engine changed until 2016 but I'm open to correction

Whilst rare, there are a few of those Megane's (and The Nissan Qashqai) fitted with a 1.6DCi engine since 2012. 130Bhp and very very nice to drive. ;)

Just to update this, got a Fluence 1.5 DCI 110 TomTom and loving it.

Any owners here managed to get a good price on Timing Belt , WP and tensioners around Cork county area?

    Anyone ?
Does not have to be a Fluence, same setup in Megane.
