Would like to hear opinions a neighbour of mine houses his bulls in July reckons they go backward outside after that fighting each other and trying to ride each other and breaking out into heifers etc.
I have 9 bulls currently out on grass sept -Jan born they are as quiet as mice it seems insane to even think about housing yet.
What would ye feed bulls if ye were housing them now?

Are them bulls being housed for finishing? I finish roughly 15-20 bulls under 16 months every year and around 30-35 bulls at 20 months. They would be born in Feb- March. This year I had 14 bulls being finished under 16 months. There are 3 left to sell and I will sell them this week. I also have 33 being finished at 20 months. They are all out at grass at the moment and I will start to house them next week. They will be fed high quality silage and concentrates for 90-120 days.

If they were only born last September (16) and this January they'll be no bother on them outside this year or till next June/July if they are quiet.
Have spring born (16) bulls still grazing round 550kg and are very quiet so far but will house to finish in the next month or so.
