We have a JF one at home in the shed for a long time... handy to have, but would you pick up a cheap side slinger easier now?

An old silage wagon might be an option too.

Ah yea now I see....good ldea but in fairness trailer far too big......id be all week trying to fill it with turf...lol......and to cut down the sides and rebrace them plus drop off the cutting end and block off would be a lot of engineering and plenty of money

Your obviously not from bog country. All those JF's round here were converted for that exact job.

I never seen that done before and this is certainly what you'd call bog country

Not exactly what your looking for but with a small flat trailer and a small motor you could make something based on this.

I could see it work on a car trailer but not the size id be after 10 or 11 foot long

Does anyone know if the rotor on the back of a dung trailer affect the movement of the chains over the floor

As far as I remember, not on the old JF we have at home anyways...

There is a setting you can adjust, to change the speed of the chains on the floor all right... But this is independent of the rotor speed...

I don't know if your plan will work or are you going reversing it up rams or something? You will still have to throw off a few loads. A conveyor of sorts would be better with a low hopper that you could tip up onto.

Yep it would be but cant be bring a lift everywhere.....there just a handy trailer when you've to unload in low sheads

Seen many an old krone muck spreader turned into a turf trailer just like u are looking too do.
Always had a neighbour here who was looking for our old small bale evelator a couple of years ago, the father gave it to him and he put a little bucket on the bottom of the evelator that the krone would dump into and on it would go up the evelator to the back of the shed
It was some job he did and made drawing turf very easy
