Her real hair is her normal hair, not the wig she wore tonight.

ok thanks, so are we to believe it was a wig in the show, or are we as viewers to believe she had her hair done by delores's place?

I think we are to believe it was a wig in the show but I could be wrong.

I think it's a bit much for someone's family to accept, she's been missing for over a year to just head off without any concrete plans, no idea where she's going or where she's sleeping that night? Ya she's an adult n can do what she wants but if I was her parents I would be sick with worry for her to just leave like that, you would obviously be thinking watching her walk away will I ever hear from her again? Will it happen again?

Ya I think we are supposed to believe she got her hair done because when her mum was like what have you done to your hair, if it was a wig, wouldn't she have just said "nothing, it's just a wig"

No, i think it is meant to be a wig in the show and it's meaning is that Katie is just trying to look different or disguised so that when she goes off, nobody will know her and hassle her.

ooh this is starting to feel like 'Wig-Gate' ... is she or isnt she? :D

I was hoping it would be settled before i go to bed otherwise I will not get to sleep properly tonight, I shall be coming up with all permutations...

Oh thank God ! No more screaming , shouting, grumpy faced , door slamming scenes from Katy .....all locked up in her apartment . I was just getting so sick of this non-storyline since her release . We won't see her again . That was a goodbye scene at the end last night ....yay !!!

On a different note I'm loving Melanie , she's so refreshingly normal and nice and a decent actress .....such a contrast to Niamh clomping and stomping her way through every scene in her thick shoes and midi skirts , throwing her eyes up to heaven , giving dirty looks and scowling as an excuse for acting . Go Melanie ! Love Mondo now too :-)

Love Mondo and Melanie too....I'm glad to see Mondo get with someone nice as well! He's actually turned into a nice enough character.

So glad to see Louis back though....god he is so different to Robbie. Carols taste in men is certainly diverse....Christy, Robbie, Louis, Billy, Dan.....think there's been a few others as well!

Maybe its a disguise so people in Donegal won't recognise her. It's a lot better than the one Ciaran gave her.

Have to agree about Melanie, she would definitely give Niamh a run for her money. Far better actress and a lot more convincing than clip-cloppy Niamh.

Another +1 for Melanie, I always said some new blood is needed in the show, Melanie is a very good actress and her character is original and interesting. Who the hell cares about Niamh and Paul splitting up and getting back together every 2nd week just because the management haven't the balls to sack the pair of them.
As for Miriam, I thought she said a few weeks back during Christy Ah No-gate that she was passing on the bulk of her duties to the co-manager to free up time for "the group".

a little while ago Melanies sick mother wasnt leaving melanie alone in work and kept ringing her up to come home ... now these days she looks like she has all the time in the world. Did her sick mum snuff it?

No, she improved over night generally people with serious illness in Carrigstown get better over night and move on!

Molly Ban is doing the washing for the Pod, ok but who's running it lol it was Jo's she's in America and Dermot is in jail?

And Melanie said she would try out "that local place" for the laundry as if she hadn't heard anything about the place. But the first fully automated laundrette in the world does the Ballentine laundry too so she should know all about it.

Melanie is a racist and a hypocrite and I can't believe Mondos going near her after she basically said his daughter is not good enough for her son.

Imagine if he said that about her son, there'd be uproar!

I thought Katy looked good, it was a bit obvious it was a wig, the forehead was a bit off.

When the Ballintine was going into receivership and Jackie told all the staff, Melanie was there and she said she had TWO kids to look after. Has the other one disappeared?

There is no way any parent would allow their daughter, who is clearly still traumatised from being kidnapped and locked up for a year, just saunter off down the street. Ridiculous. They would accompany her to this so called retreat , thats if they agreed it was the best option in the first place. Again more lazy, wrap it up quickly approach by the writers. One minute, Katie is screaming and crying and cant leave the flat, next thing she is sitting on a park bench eating an enormous icecream then going to the Station as the Da wanted to bring her somewhere "quiet"... laughable. So a very quick recovery to being able to walk off down the road......to God knows where.
Also she said about the Station "this is where it all started this is where Ciaran......." But she didnt know who her captor was until months and months into being held captive. What did this mean? He hardly put a balaclava on and grabbed her from the barstool ...

Yep, one stressful but successful outing to a cafe and pub and now she's ready to go to Donegal on her own in a wig.

Of course! It's now a staple of FC furniture.

that was stupidly fast how it all unfolded - she had to go out with her father and was having a mini panic attack and now look at her literally the next day or 2 - if only real life was like that

I think that was more Charlie Mansons influence when she promised Katy a quiet few weeks away in a "retreat". Of course I highly doubt Manson was thinking of Katy when that offer was made- just another attempt to brainwash another member into the "phoenix way" mode of thinking.
When Emmet gave back the money, Manson just stared through him and finally said "Don't make it up to me.....make it up to the group".
