Jobseeker's Allowance when moving back to Ireland

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light for on whether I'll qualify for Jobseeker's Allowance. I was working part time and receiving jobseekers for the weeks I worked three days or less. I moved to Canada in october last year but am moving back December this year. My old job is happy to take me back, again part time as they just don't have full time contracts available, and I'm wondering if I can go back to my old situation.
Everything will be basically the same, will be living in the same place that I was, working in the same job with similar hours, so I'm wondering if getting the Jobseeker's Allowance back will be straightforward since I will be going straight back to my old job?I know that moving back in December is a busy period for offices as it's so close to Christmas but has anyone recently applied for it again and maybe has any idea how long it took before they got it? Obviously need to get money coming in as soon as I can once I get back.
If anyone has any info I'd be really appreciative.
