i have some trees\ large shrubs that are looking a bit sick this year
I don't know what they are called but i have attached some pics

The leaves seems to be getting a white fungus on them that and some leaves are dying off.
I have some of these in pots also and they seem to be suffering the same fate.

Is this some sort of blight or disease ?

It's powdery mildew. You can either spray with a fungicide or cut out and destroy the damaged leaves. Pick up any affected leaves as the spores will spread if left lying around.

Thanks for the info, it was great help for me to know what to ask for.  I got some fungicide and sprayed the leaves, time will tell if it works,
Might prune it a bit if the spray doesn't take effect.
