Can anyone recommend a vacuum that is good for long HUMAN hair, but in a much cheaper price range than the Meile- I have looked at them and they cost around 7-800 Euros which is way out of my price range! Thanks.

For long hair (human or animal) I recommend a rubber brush

They do a very good job of collecting and balling-up (if that's a word) the hair...you can then suck it up into any vacuum cleaner (easiest when the attchement is removed and you use the tube only) or just scoop it up and put it straight into the bin.

I don't think there is any vacuum that can cope with long hair properly. All the brushes will get tangled. I have a selection of vacuums - dyson and miele and my own hair tangles the brushes on all of them.

Rubber brushes as above really are the best thing
