HKC App very poor response time

    Hi,

Just wanted to check if it is just my set up or the app in general.

If I have an alarm that goes off, it can take me 30+ seconds to actually get logged into the app and when I choose to disarm it can take even longer, if it even works the first time around.

It dosn't matter if I am on 4g, wireless etc, it is still always the same,

    Regards,

Are you using the GSM-SC or WiFi card? If GSM its could have poor reception.

Get on to whoever installed it. Add a wifi card to the system and you'll have the gsm as a back up

It's better to have a GSM connected rather than relying on a router which can be easily be disabled. Either get a stronger signal to the panel or add a WiFi card.

Most lightly a poor signal on the GSM, if World SIM it should automatically switch provider in this case.
Dual Path, providing WiFi and GSM is a good suggestion, providing redundancy if one path is disabled or unavailable.

If you do find it to be a bad signal you can use the GSM extender to locate the GSM-SC away from the panel.

Currently installed a wifi extender but can't get it communicating with the panel, any suggestions?

Double checked all connections & there as per wiring diagram, also no programming information came with the extender, is this normal?

    Thanks

What's the WiFi extender you used?

Is it scanning for the WiFi?

    The device isn't RF.

The GSM-WiFi EXT can be used if you have a GSM-SC, GSM-Q or WiFi-Card and need to locate it away from the main panel for better signal strength.

The way it works is that you install a comm's card in the 1070 & locate the extender in a location where GSM signal is better, then an 8c cable is ran between the comms card & extender which is where the SC is installed, hope that makes sense?

I know, it's hardwired to the control panel :)
I assumed WiFi since you mentioned it.

Which device are you using in conjunction with the extender.

Sorry, the unit that's installed in the extender is a GSM SC

    Have you enabled in Communications?

It doesn't let me," it says GSM not fitted", which I have, thus not communicating with the panel

    Should not be that then.
Can you wire it in beside the control panel just to see if it picks it Up?

Got it communicating with panel, the problem was down to the length of cable between the extender & panel, reduced cable length & now communicating.

My problem now is that the SC only connects on occasions but I checked the GSM signal, it was at 80% as opposed to 20/40% previously.

    Any suggestions?

You would need to get the cells in your area checked.
If it connects to a low one that could be causing the issue.

The system connects to different cells on the network.
