....I must've watched The Ring about four or five times, but now I'm after watching for the first time as an adult and I realised two things: a) it has nothing to do with an actual ring whatsoever, and b) Naomi Watts is very attractive - like, phenomenally beautiful.

Lord knows why I never noticed this before, because obviously I've seen her in other things since, but this is the first time I've had a, 'Wow' moment when watching a film of hers.

Is there any celebrity that it took a while for you to realise is stunning?

This thread is a lot more specific than I was expecting from the title.

    Lisa Hannigan.

Never really paid her much heed for years then one day it just hit me that she is actually drop dead gorgeous.

The ring is the outline of the well from below I'd imagine

I saw it in the cinema. there's a bit where she's researching on the internet and you can see the URL is "C:/desktop/newfolder" or something like that.

That's my main memory of the movie. Guess that says a lot about me.

Just a gentle reminder never to have children.

Doesn't "The Ring" refer to the telephone ringing after they watch the video tape as opposed to a piece of jewellery??

The perfect AH thread which epitomises everything that's great and awful about this place.

It's probably a good thing you didn't think she was a ride early on mate.

I'm sure that's a part of it, but the repeated ring-shaped symbolism regarding the outline of the well is likely the real significance I think.

Apocalypse Now. Remember thinking the young Larry Fishbourne was pretty sexy. Watched it again in my mid twenties, thought the same. Imdb'ed him, he was 14 or 15 in it :(

Neve Campbell. Although I think she actually did get a ****load more attractive when she hit 40 rather than me just suddenly noticing it.

    Same with Julia Louis Dreyfus.
