Back week pay wages

I started a job a couple of weeks ago and my first pay is due this week . I was offered another job and took that while doing that I could not finish my notice period with the other job apparently they take a 'back week ' out from your first pay check. You should be paid for all the work you've done. If paid weekly you will receive the last of your pay the week after you finish up.
