    Hi,
We received no letter confirming allowance would be paid, we've a 4 year old and 17 year old - will it be paid automatically on week of 14th July? We received it automatically every other year up to now.

If you haven't received a letter, call them and they can tell you whether you need to apply or not.

Have you had a letter? If not you won't be getting it unless you apply.

For people that got a letter it was paid this week I believe.

Could it be not automatic as your child is now 17? I know my children's allowance stopped and I won't get it until she goes back to school

No they either received a letter or need to apply, with child benefit the school need to fill in a form it's not automatic either.

They op said they receive it automatically... I took this to mean they didn't need to apply
