    Longford Town vs Cabinteely 19:30

Slightly truncated fixture list due to the European matches last night but some big matches in the battle for European football for next year and the relegation battle.
Huge match in Richmond Park which is also very tricky to predict. Neither team has won in the last few matches but both teams are also capable of putting in decent performances. Bermo is suspended for us which could lead to problems at left back and our defense as a whole which has been very shabby but I think that we can win this. Last weeks comeback against Limerick was good and at least showed that there is some fight in the squad which was something we were accused of lacking. Going to predict a 2-1 for Saints.

Bray and Dundalk is an interesting game after Bray's surprise win over Dundalk earlier this season and Connolly leaving Bray to join Dundalk yesterday. Dundalk have won all three of their matches since the break without conceding but Bray's attack will be a different challenge. Still think Dundalk will win this but I don't think they will keep a clean sheet.

If Limerick's defense holds together better than it did last Saturday they should beat Drogheda who seem to be in freefall. Sligo vs Shams depends on how quickly Shams recover from their trip to Iceland. If they haven't recovered fully then Sligo could spring a surprise. Slightly surprised this match hasn't been called off until later in the season.

In the first division Shels vs Waterford is the main match of the weekend. After beating UCD and Cobh in recent matches can Shels beat another of the top three in Waterford who lost to UCD last weekend. Neale Fenn makes his debut as Longford manager against Cabinteely on Saturday night.

the start of the Europe-caused fixture list merry go round and games popping up unexpectedly:)

Not the best game for Rovers in between Europe, away from home. A draw wouldn't be the worst result.

Good case for that Wexford - UCD as the least entertaining ever at Ferrycarrig. One actual chance in the whole night, and about an hour of Scales and Kouogan passing it between them :o

Live coverage of Wexford Youths Women and Kilkenny Utd. on www.wexfordfc.ie/commentary , guaranteed goals at least

Pretty useless point for both SPA and Galway. Both would have being identifying this as 3.

Very good game in Tolka last night. A draw was the absolute minimum Shels deserved who played all the football while the money men seemed content with hoofing the ball out of the ground.

We should have taken all three, O'Malley kept pats in it. We dominated the second half but couldn't take our chances. No offence but I thought Pats were horrendous in that second half. Barely got out of their own half.

Terrible match between two awful teams in Richmond last night. O'Malley made some good saves but apart from him and Lunney we were dreadful. Galway are very low quality but they kept battling and got a deserved equaliser.

Didn't go to the game. But I'm sure the Patrick's midfield was a shambles again.
Crying out for someone dictate play and offer some protection to the back 4. Someone like Chambers would even be a huge improvement on the current crop.

I'd love Chambers back now.Really missing someone who can spread the play from midfield. Apparently we've signed Keith tracey back and Owen Garvan.

    Yep.
Bethlehem Steel? Hopefully it's working out well for him.
Some leadership and experience badly needed in the middle. Maybe Garvan can step up

Seems like a new Shels! Should be a handy win on Friday away to the fixers.

Another good game in the Women's National League being streamed live tomorrow. Video quality was excellent for Wexford Youths vs. Galway last week

Vital win v Shams and a deserved one. They weren't up to much throughout and rarely threatened.

On top of that, €60,800 raised in the annual draw which is fantastic.

Very costly defeat. Mostly the team started on Thursday and will be starting next Thursday. Could be very costly energy wise in the second half in the 2nd leg.

Dunno what it is about Sligo away but for some reason it causes Rovers managers to experiment. MON benched Twigg and played Gary O Neill upfront on his own in 2011 and loses 3-0. Kenny gives Reyaad Pieterse his only league appearance for Rovers...away to Sligo and also loses 3-0.

Now Bradley plays Finn in midfield behind Burke all season long and it pays dividends with goals in all but one game and now he plays him up behind the striker and there's no end product against ten men. Michael O'Connor played and got the winner at Harps and was excellent against Drogheda and he drops him.

Amazing. Really shows the difference in a club that the town and community are fully behind in contrast to what is going on in Bray.
