Hi - just wondering what peoples thoughts were in terms of best ways to clean the car windshield. what products would be used? I have a number of car cleaning products including glass cleaning ones etc but havent put anything on windscreen yet as i am afraid it might impede the operation of the wipers. did it on my last car and it was never the same. so whats the safest and effective way to achieve a nice clean and smooth windscreen?

I'm a fan of IPA and then water rinse, or CarPro Eraser with water rinse when washing the car.

I've used AG Fast glass with just a buffing (no post application rinse) successfully also.

many thanks. i have AG fast glass as well actually. were your wipers working OK after this? were they at all grabby across the windscreen? as a side note, would you have any tips to properly clean wiper blades? i see vinegar is recomedned but i am wondering would that ruin the rubber of the wiper or something

I've never hand any problems with wiper blades skipping or jumping no matter what I use.

For cleaning them, its a wet piece of kitchen paper and wipe (or maybe IPA soaked tissue if I know it's going to rain) but then again I change mine every two years or so. They are quite cheap in the big scheme of things

Like the above poster I've used IPA, Eraser and Fast Glass without any issues.

It might be worth claying your glass too, took a lot more crap off mine than I was expecting and left it extremely smooth.

No harm using a fallout remover on the glass also; no need if brand new, but once every 5-6 months

OP, forgot to mention that I give mine a rub of a clay-cloth and a dose of fall-out remover when ever I'm doing them to the car's paint.

Recently did mine with Angelwax H2Go . Did a good wash then quick clay ( car is 3 ) , followed by rinse. Then got it squeaky clean with Angelwax Vision glass cleaner prior to 2 coats of H2Go. Also gave the wiper blades a good clean .
