Diamondbrite or similar

    Hi

We've ordered a new car, and the dealer has offered a Diamondbrite treatment for the inside and outside of the car. The dealership will do the work before we pick up the car. We would like the same kind of treatment to preserve the paintwork and upholstery and to make the maintenance of the car easier.

It's costing E295 to do the entire car. Is this a reasonable price? Is there somewhere in Cork that offers the same kind of service? And what would the cost be?

    Thoughts and opinions welcome.

    TIA :)

Diamondbrite is probably "OK" for what it is.
But you can rest assured the preoper preperation will not be done. Hence. Durability will not be there.
    @ €295 I would run a mile.
    Give D&D Detailing a ring., >>> http://dnddetailing.ie/
If I were you and want ease of maintanence then I would enquire from D&D about applying a ceramic coat.
It will cost a bit more, but rest assured you r car will have the best possible protection.

Had Diamondbrite done on one of my cars. Biggest load of sh1te going. Total waste of money.
Also, the diamondbrite 'guarantee' only applies if you continue to use their products and they will require proof of purchase either from dealership or their UK website.
All car dealerships offer products like this when you are buying a new car. Run for the hills.
Collect your new motor and bring it to a proper qualified and respected detailer to get the car protected.

    This x 100.

A detailer will be more expensive that the 300 the dealer wants, but it will go a long way to getting it done right; preparation of the surface is vital, as is application. Even if the Diamondbrite was a market leading product, you'd want someone skilled in application, not someone who has to get through 10 new registrations a week.

Thank you all very much for the responses. I'm a suspicious Londoner by nature and although the idea sounded good, did some reading on the 'net and decided to ask on here as well seeing as the reviews of the Diamondbrite weren't great.

So glad I did! Actually D & D have been mentioned on here before and they are 10 minutes from us. so will certainly give them a call and get some prices.

    Thanks again guys!
