A significant part of the race route was resurfaced this Tuesday evening just passed, resulting in excessive loose chippings remaining on the surface, which in some areas are to a depth of several centimetres.

Surely, the roads department in the local council are aware of upcoming events as the details are all submitted in advance and the council has the fundamental skills required to communicate this to them and have the cop on to not do something like this. Surely...right?

    And cyclists are so popular.........NOT
Contractor and Council will always take precedence.. a pre arranged cycle race wouldn't dawn on them , order to proceed probably given with a grin.

A disgrace. Councils should be doing all they can to facilitate sporting events.
