Justin Trudeau, Ramadan socks and the Pride parade

    Rachel Dugan writes in today's Indo about how much she loves Justin Trudeau for wearing Ramadan-themed socks while attending the Pride parade in Toronto.

    I am obviously missing something here.
    Justin Trudeau the dishy Canadian PM wears socks emblematic of a religion/ideology that does not tolerate homosexuality (and sometimes throws gay people off roofs) to a parade that celebrates homosexuality.

    And this woman, Rachel Dugan thinks it's just wonderful. No need to rationalise. Just feel.

    I dunno.

    Just my opinion, but I find that the majority of opinion pieces in Irish newspapers are garbage. I don't really take said publications very seriously any more.
