Hi, I have a 04 fiesta, failed next on brake imbalance, changed cylinder on weaker side and handbrake is still weaker than other side.
Not sure what else I can do.
    Any tips ?

I'm assuming its the rear brakes, did you change the brake shoes too? What condition are the drums in? Is there much of a wear ridge on them? If the drums are near their wear limit it can be very difficult to balance the two brakes. Can you post a pic of the fail sheet on both tests, was there any improvement between both tests?

Might have nothing to do with the cylinder. The brake shoes are supposed to be self adjusting but the brake dust can jam the adjuster. Just takes patience & small adjustments to get it right.

Reading your post you mention "handbrake still weaker than other side" is it just the handbrake that's failing??... cable could be partiallly seized on one side.

Cylinder was seized on o e side. Took it for a good drive and the adjuster must've equalled itself out, in for retest and passed :-) ,thanks guys
