Eir BB Dropping

Recently moved house and had to bring Eir BB Fibre with me, never really had an issue with the old modem but the new one now gives out 2 separate connections for WiFi 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Now Im aware 5ghz is faster but not as strong as 2.4ghz but both seem to drop regularly, My IPTV is all over the place, my phone will suddenly drop signal with an exclamation mark.

I don't see the point in contacting Eir as their support is terrible but is there any known issues or anything I can do locally here to do any housekeeping on my modem? Change channels etc? Sometimes randomly when I try to go to websites the login to the Eir router page comes up.

Any help or tips is greatly appreciated.

Sounds more a sync issue than wireless. Calling eir is the first step.

Their modem is not great - think it's a Huawei and ours just died and before that it was constantly dropping.
