I am in the same boat. My vetting isn't signed off yet.

Nope, I'm in the same boat as you. Jan 16 OOM Low 1000s. I was told back in July that my file was sent to senior management for signing off. Rang yesterday and was told one part of vetting to to come back. They had emailed the agency to get a hurry on it. So the wait continues for us. It's frustrating as hell, but just got to remain positive, our time will come.

There is a handful of us left only, so hopefully get there soon. Really hope they push our vetting. Only one person holding mine up. Weekly phonecall from here to Xmas.

Hi lads got an offer yesterday. OOM 10-20 from Sept 16 campaign. Just wondering did people who sent an email to accept the offer get a reply to say it had been received?

Wont be possible, my vetting is still outstanding so not a hope of it coming back and then getting signed off. That's if they even sign me off.

If one of the hundred defer on first round offers and they have to give the place to somebody else do they do that now or do they wait until all the offers are out before they start filling in places for rejections/deferrals?

Maybe for second round offers, they send out 100 + deferrals, and after second round, they just call people to fill in deferrals from second round?

I've always been worried of receiving that dreadful generally unsuitable letter. I have a family member who has had a troubled past. I have always been completely estranged from that person. Mind you the majority of families I'd like to think has that one dodgy family member of the Garda trainees that get a start in Templemore and it does not go against them.

Fingers crossed that will not happen though.
