Building Regs and Mortgages

    Hi,
    We've just got planning and now look towards get our building drawing done, we are looking to get a self build Mortgage and was wondering do banks make you opt in to the regs,

    Each bank is different.
    Also, you have to comply with the building regulations either way.

    What you are probably talking about is the BCAR process of assigned certifier requirements.

    Again, some banks insist, some are happy with the engineer or architect inspecting.
