Does anyone have any links to official studies on the safety and potential side effects of LASEK and LASIK?
I recently pulled of an LASEK operation at the last minute and I feel I might deeply regret it as it was good timing and a good institution but I felt I was not informed enough about the risks that I am taking especially in relation to the the potential side effects and risks.
As I crawled through threads/online forums/websites/youtube etc. there was a mixed bag of good and bad reviews but I didn't trust any of the sources at all really either. It was hard to put that into perspective of how much of a risk I would actually be taking?
A clinical study which said something like the following would have helped to put my mind at ease:
75% - 20/20 vision and no complications
20% - 20/20 vision and compications etc.

Theres some useful patient information booklets that I found here about laser eye surgery:
https://www.rcophth.ac.uk/patients/
It's from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists
If anyone has any other good sources please let me now.
