Has Al Jezeera stopped broadcasting - or do I need to get the ladder out?

With Doha getting a bit of bother from the Sauds, have they affected Al Jazeera as it is part of their demands, are they still broadcasting? I get 'No Signal' but OK on BBC News and France 24.

So its ladder time. I have Freesat and some of the lesser channels are weak, so maybe its that the dish is gone out slightly.

Unless there was some event which could have moved the dish, it could be a LNB problem. If you could get another LNB to try out, it might save unnecessary work on the dish.

There is a known problem where one polarization is lost by the LNB. So the first thing you could check is whether all the stations you are getting are V and none H or vice versa.

    This is from last Friday

Something similar happened with Press TV, it was removed from astra 28 and 19

Forcing Al Jazeera to close down it's operations in ten days is unworkable.

That type of demand from Saudi Arabia and others does not affect AJ's daily news operations.

Al Jazeera should remain open to have a voice in the Arab World by displaying it's unbiased & informative journalism.

Al Jazeera is one of the few channels I regularly watch. They have some wonderful weekly documentary programs you cannot find anywhere else like 101 East, Witness and People & Power. I rarely watch the news on there but whenever I have I thought it was well presented and informative, not just on MENA issues but on things happening in every corner of the world you wouldn't normally hear about on other channels. Their coverage of the Egyptian revolution 6 years ago was unrivalled.

AJ Arabic is propaganda-riddled sh*te though.

Qatar is far from perfect but Saudi & Egypt are far worse and their demands are ridiculous.

I have it back. I tweaked the LNB angle and it is now back. I think I need to move the dish slightly to get a better signal. It is a bit close to the digital cliff - even BBC 2 HD is weak. I lost everything in today's heavy rain for a short time.

Al Jazeera is a great news channel. I agree with the shows already mentioned, the docs are also well produced.
    I enjoy watching it.
