Quick Question for those more familiar with the NCT than me

Will my tyre shown in the photo pass ?

I have the 1.6mm on the thread measuring lugs but Im not sure on the side, is it worn too much ?

mechanic looked at it over the weekend and thought it would be ok

I would say that would pass, had 4 tyres last year, each were badly wore on in side, worst then yours, rest of tyre fine, thought it would fail but passed, only advisory, take it in as is, its only a visual if only fails on tyres.

That'll pass. You only need 1.6mm across the inner 2/3.

It may be above the legal minimum but it's a good bit past its best, I'd consider changing.
