Annoying TV ads

I always said that some of the ads on TV are better than a lot of the programmes themselves. But some ads really annoy me, and after a brief chat at work it seems that I not alone.

Here are some that grind my gears. What are yours?

That ad where the little girl writes letter to Santa and her big brother comes home for Crimbo, saying he got her letter "off" Santa...... You cant get something off someone unless its "on" them. You get it "from" them....

The ad for baby milk, where it says "if you move on from breast milk" then use ours.... What "if"? Isnt it guaranteed that you move on from breast milk at some point, even if the kid is a teenager?

The mortgage ad where the couple "tear into the work in 100 days". They state the there were hard times and rough times... How can a mortgage company make an ad that basically says "take our product and you will be under pressure to pay us back for years"

The ad for broadband (one on tv and radio) where the teenage daughter totally disrespects the parent (on tv she she looks the mom up & down before ignoring her, on the radio she says "whatever" to the dad when she gets into their own car).

There may be more, thats all I can think of for now.

That advert is completely f**ked in the head. I was in one of those branches queing up for ages and they kept playing that thing over and over and over on the screens and the tannoys. It nearly made me vomit. Made me realise how effective some torture techniques using media are probably utilised in shady prisons and underground jails in some $hithole states around the globe.

The advert for sweets with the adults but voiceover in kids voices. annoying and creepy!

Most TV adverts annoy the hell out of me. One reason I zap around the channels when adverts come on. Many have nothing to do with the product and could be used for anything.

The orang-utan wandering around in an electricity supplier advert. A Cannon advert waffling on about life. Those ridiculous meerkats. The list is endless.

In fairness, the oran-utan peering out over Dublin is just hilarious. No relevance to the product at all, makes no sense.

The Vodafone ad with the pig. Moronic, "gee, small pugs are cute, let's just ram one into an ad and try to develop some strange narrative over it".

I hate those Lidl ads at the moment.
Especially the one with the two teenagers(I've no idea how the fella goes to school after those ads airing) shopping together and the mother with the children.(All she does is yell and shout and she they can't have anything)
