    In in the market for an 08/09 qashqai 1.6 petrol with Manual gearbox. Is there anything I need to pay particular attention to when buying

    Timing chains can stretch on the 1.6 petrol versions, if it sounds rattly then it will need to be replaced. Clutches seem to be a common failure on them too.

    I am trading my 09 next week and found it hard to get a dealer to trade it in. The road tax is nearly 600e and very thirsty on juice. Don't if I was you I already made that mistake :(

    If you do any decent sort of motorway miles, that engine is screaming out for a 6th gear. The labouring and noise out of them at 120kms is shocking.
