Don't have one but sat in one and they are very claustrophobic in the rear. They made a balls of the design of the rear door glass area, it's tiny making the rear of the car very dark and enclosed.

Are they really around 30k?! Sounds like crazy money to me for something that size...they look not much bigger than the likes of the Renault captur...rather save me 10k vs the privilige of driving some Turkish Toyota...

Those high rear door handles and cave like back seats totally rule it out if you have kids. Social services would be on to you. Otherwise an interesting left field choice.

Sister is law has one, hybrid. Says she gets great mileage out of it.

Back is small. She has taken our 2 kids in it and they have space, even with big axiss seat in there.

Bit of a battle trying to get the seat in door. To be honest it is not aimed at the kids market. That is RAV4.

Sister in law has one too. Traded in a 02 Yaris and got 4K for it. No complaints so far! Petrol too, think a 1.2, can't remember.

4k trade in for a 02 Yaris......... wonder how much trade in I would get for a 08 Honda Civic...

They preregged a load of CHRs in December to bump up the annual sales figures, I'd say they were doing great deals on them.

Buddy bought one, his wife drives it mainly and they have one adult child... are very happy with it.

Strangely enough the salesperson apparently didn't push them towards the hybrid despite them using it for mainly short, urban spins. Dunno were they interested in spending the extra either though to be fair.

Got a good scrappage deal I think.... traded/scrapped a worthless enough vectra againt it.

They were doing 4K scrappage until the end of April at the time.

uncle bought the top spec one... I think he said 34k? has nice brown leather seats and dash.. the car does feel compact inside and the boot is small... the hybrid is auto.. had a spin in it and its grand.. looks quite techy with big centre screen.. lots of lights on the dash that I hadn't a clue what they meant.... probably wasn't driving it right

I think that's mental money for what they are. You can get very well specced cars from the class up- thinking Mazda 6, VW Passat et al for that kind of money

The person may not want a Mazda 6 or VW Passat though. You can spend 40k on a Skoda Octavia too if you tick all the options.

I've ticked a fair few on my octavia and ended up at 35.5k

You wouldn't get anything like the same in a passat at same price.. I tried on the vw configurator and was North of 40k very quickly

My point was really at the shock some have with a CHR costing 34k when you can spend upwards of that figure on an Octavia which is a medium sized run of the mill hatchback.

To be fair the Hybrid CHR is €31,000 or something, Prius money. The standard petrol is the one that's €26,000. A few small extras would easily bring the Hybrid to €34,000.

I thought they looked amazing at first, then walked past one and saw the rear from the side and didn't like it. Bold styling though I'll give it that. Not a fan of crossovers but I prefer the look of it over the Juke or Qashqai.

Doesn't sound very practical though especially given its size and it's on the Prius platform and bigger so you don't get the mileage to go with it. Should still be decent running costs though.

30k+ is not unusual for a hybrid, something the passat and the mazda 6 is not.

To be fair though, on an Auris the like for like difference between a 1.2T and a 1.8 hybrid is €800, on a CHR its €2500.
