Is a cheque ok to lodge to your account if it is made out as 'cash' on the name part?

+1 'Cash' is effectively the same as 'Bearer' and means that anyone can lodge it to their account.

Which also means that if you can find someone (like a bookie or a publican) to cash it for you, they can lodge it as well.
