I have occasionally looked in the mirror first thing in the morning and tried to swipe left.

    So no.

I look like an egg, my missus doesn't look like an egg, so, no.

I was going out with a guy for a while who looked like a male version of me, egg shaped head too, glasses, dark hair and eyes. Was a bit weird though, I looked like I could be his sister.

According to research reported in the July 2010 issue of Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, we are attracted to people who resemble our parents or ourselves.

I have a friend who's this gorgeous brunette with long hair, green eyes, a fab figure, massive boobies. She has a girlfriend who's pretty much identical to her!

They're both real girlie girls too, they swap clothes and do each other's hair and make-up etc. They're very cute together, but I just would find it weird to be sexually intimate with someone who looks so like me.

I feel this story needs a thread of its own.

It would be hard to explain multi racial attraction then.

    Seems nonsense.

Yes, out of pure respect for Lady Is A Tramp of course. Wouldn't want it to get lost in the shuffle.

    100% agreed.

I worked with a lad who went out with basically his twin, we used to joke that he would photoshop in a picture of himself in a wig to stand beside him in photos on facebook.

But she was real. And terrifying.

Hmmmmm - I appear to be attracted to people with long hair - wide hips - breasts - and a vagina. As I have none of these features - I am finding myself doubting the science here :)

I've seen the partner resembles parent thing a couple of times. Personally I am completely averse to anyone who resembles my father. I'm fed up of looking at my own face so not looking for a partner that looks like me.

That's why I stay away from mirrors in public places. The boners I get from looking at myself are fierce embarrassing.

I was in the NCT waiting room on Monday and in walked a brother and sister. They even liked the same band as they were wearing the band t-shirt.
The brother and sister then sat very close to each other and started cuddling and kissing.
I thought it was a very friendly family until I read this thread.

Science says a lot of stuff, and then contradicts itself. It's like Donald Trump.
    I wouldn't trust it.

    Indeed ...
In which case my wife has facial stubble, hairy arms, hairy legs, nasal hair, an adams apple & 'man bits' ;-)
