Just a quick question for people with soft hand bale handlers, do ye use them for feeding bales during the winter or is it just for stacking bales during the summer i.e. can they be used to break open a bale or is a bale spike/ fork required to break open the bale after the plastic is taken of.

Is that the paddle type? I've one that I made myself only problem when drawing bales is that the bales sag a day after being made and the handler won't get under them.

Hi Sam ya the paddle type. Interested in getting one but if I can't feed with it it seems a big cost just to stack bales.

Any chance you could put up a few pics of the one you made?

You will buy a spike for feeding for 200/300.
