I'm looking into buying a new electric trolley and I'm unsure whether to go for the Powakaddy FW3i lithium or the Motocaddy S1. Can anyone advise me from their experience.
    Thanks in advance
    Matthew

I literally just bought a powakaddy compact C2 last week. Great bit of kit, and really saves the legs.

I cant figure out to put the umbrella/parasol holder on though.

I have the Motocaddy M3 and I love it. As said above really saves the legs

You won't go wrong with either. Two good trollies.

Main thing to check is your access to repair or maintenance services. Make sure there is someone/somewhere convenient.

I have a Golf Glider and its a help that I live 10 minutes from their workshop.

Yeah its a awkward bugger to figure out. The instructions don't really help much. Best to ask someone who has one on the already.

I have the Powakaddy FW3i and i'm really happy with it.

I have a motocaddy for two years now and its ticking along fine, best advice I can give is insist on a litium battery as they are worth every cent.

I have my trolley(motocaddy) about a year and a half now . Nothing wrong with it but do any of you that have electric trolleys send them off to be serviced? How often should it be done?

My golf glider is years old and was never serviced!!

I switch between it and my 3 wheel push one, much handier than charging a battery and remembering to put it in the boot!!

Got a Motocaddy M3 Pro this year and have spent the last few months why I didn't get one years ago......I think it's helped my game.....it's definitely made it easier to play more golf more often ;)

I'd also recommend spending the extra cash for the lithium battery, but you probably don't need a 36 hole one. Any time I've done 36 holes I've just plugged it in over the lunch break and it gets more than enough charge for an afternoon session.

Agree. I have an 18 hole litium and have gotten 36 holes out of one charge in my place, granted , it a flat course. No need for a 36 holer.

I had a Motocaddy trolley for 3 and a half years, I had to get a new motor in it,cost €90. Then I had 4 batteries fail in 15 months, Motocaddy said I was "just unlucky" Needless to say I wouldn't recommend Motocaddy, have gone back to push trolley

Pretty sure it was new motor was faulty and ruined 4 new batteries.
Seen this exact problem before. Had new motor fitted and no problems since for the owner.
Have a glider myself and would rate above with moto or powa

S3 digital owner here for the last 5 years. Never any problems and I oil, tighten and grease the moving parts and nuts and bolts every year myself. Never had a need to bring it to an agent since day one.

I'm on my second 27 hole lead acid battery and keep it as per manufacturers guidelines and never have a problem doing Esker Hills!

Only con is that both battery and trolley are large and so will take up space.

Are trollies meant to be serviced, I thought if something broke you just get it fixed, didn't know there was preemptive servicing?

I have always had powakaddys and have always been very happy with them, wouldn't think moto would be any different.

Not sure if they need servicing, but I just give it a good going over at the start of every year. Basically just tightening all the nuts and bolts, putting some grease on the wheels or axles and generally giving it a good cleaning. Takes less than 2 hours in the shed in Feb or March.
