Anyone know what is up with this? Trying to get RTE Player going on Win 10, Firefox, IE or Edge and no joy at all. Disabled Anti-Virus and Windows Defender, and popup blockers on all browsers and nothing. Any ideas what it might be?

It works fine for me on Chrome, FF and IE on Win 7. Might be an idea to run something like Malwarebytes.

Try opening an incognito window in Chrome with all addons disabled and see if you have any luck.

I've seen this happen if you have any potential ad-blocking entries in your hosts file.

Installed and found nothing, updated AVG and Windows and still no go

Checked that out in Chrome and FF and no joy

Went to host file and any entry in the with the letters ad I commented out with a # and saved, and no go.

Its a relatively new machine and I don't actually have a whole lot on it so wondering why its actually blocked? Not many things should be able to block it I would have thought.

Do you have ghostery or something similar installed? Disable it if you do

What else is in your hosts file? The default hosts file in Windows 7 and later has no (uncommented) entries, so you obviously had something that changed the file

Rename the hosts file and check again.

I have had this happen with nothing recognisable in the file to interfere ..... but something did!

Case closed, renamed the host file and job done. Something in there that is doesn't like.

    Cheers for that people.
