Would the Conservatives have won in the UK if the Grenfell Tower fire had occurred before the Elections?

If ifs and ands were pots and pans, there'd be no work for tinkers' hands.

I don't think they would have won the election if it was held again, a few days later, let alone after Grenfell. Theresa May is way out of touch with the UK electorate. I think it just came down to people not thinking Corbyn had the personality, or had it in him to run the country. Although tine has his shown maybe Theresa May doesn't have it in her either.

I'm not sure. But I do think that if the election had been a week or ten days later that Labour would have won. They had terrific momentum going into the final days, and the chief motivating issue in my opinion wasn't Brexit, it was the Tory's austerity policies.

If Labour had a moderate centre left leader they would have won imo. That's the problem with the FPTP electoral system, people like Corbyn are in Labour, whereas in Ireland under P.R he and his fellow travelers within Lab would be part of one the fringe far left political parties.

Corbyn is moderate. He is also the most successful Labour leader since Tony Blair.

    Faint praise indeed.

Not if you remember how popular Blair was pre-Iraq.
