M50 today 19 June

    Presume you all saw that the M50 was vandalized , some guy cut the wires.
    Anyway today i heard a guy on the radio say he went tru the toll today and his tag didnt beep, making him think he wasnt charged as they were still working on it.
    Anyone else have this experience?

    I went through it on Sunday and was charged both ways. There were guys working on the northbound gantry.

    Yea im talking about the guy who went tru today and his tag didnt beep, just wondering if he was charged

    If the video system is working they can still charge tags that dont beep.

    The battery in my tag, an original eazypass, died a year or two ago so doesn't get read anywhere, but the cameras still pick me up for billing.

    I've been using the same tag for years on the M50. Sometimes it beeps, sometimes it doesn't. However, I always get charged. As stated above, the video system will read the reg.

    If the cameras are temporarily not operating due to the vandalism and the tag doesn't beep then it is possible that a journey won't be recorded.
