    Hi everyone,

    I would really like to hear from somebody who is currently on Back to Education allowance or is knowledgeable about it. I've spoken to my local social protection office about my hopes to apply for it in September but I'm still not clear on what would happen during the summer.

    If I was able to get full-time hours in Ireland in the summer after year 1 of college could I still receive BTEA when I return to college?

    Would it be possible to work abroad for the summer after year 1 of college without it affecting your BTEA when you return to college for year 2?
