walking areas/newmarket

Hi can anyone advise of any good walking areas around newmarket where it would be safe to let a dog off a lead - areas where there is footpaths but not traffic if you get my drift. Thanks

The Island Wood is the only place that comes to mind, no traffic and plenty of walking paths.
