    Hi All

When I turned on my air con yesterday I noticed that the vents on the passenger side are much colder than the vents directed at the driver.

Is there any reason for this? I don't think it has always been that way.

    2012 Ford Focus Zetec
( No dual controls- Just a single air con button)

Could be the pollen filter is blocked up with dirt and not allowing decent air flow within the cabin, any ideas when it was last changed? The filter would normally be on the passenger side to flow would be strongest there if it was slightly blocked.

Here's how it's changed for left hand drive...

    Might be low on refrigerant.

Only have the car a year. not sure when last changed.

Air flow is grand on the passenger side, cool and strong however the same cannot be said for driver side.

If yesterday was the 1st time you used it in a year, and who knows the last owner didn't use it, then you need it checked for leaks and regased. Don't just shove gas from a motor factors in as it's bad for the environment if it leaks.

No yesterday is not the first time I used it. I have it on occasionally but noticed yesterday that the drivers side was much warmer than the passenger side in comparison.

I have the car a year.

Air con must be used regularly (weekly) to keep the system working 100%.

You've had the car for 1yr.. but how old is the car ?
Did you buy it brand spanking new ?

If it's more than a year old, it could be any number of things
    Pollen filter
    Might need a regas
Maybe one of the air guides is stuck.

    Edit.. just saw, that's it's a 2012

Or just leave it on the whole time.
It makes a tiny difference to overall mpg, l/100km, etc

A/C will dry the air, giving more comfortable heat and cool air.

    Thanks for all the reply.

As stated in the first post its a 2012 and I have it a year.

I would have it on fairly regularly to be honest and yesterday is the first time I noticed the difference.

Can't see how it'd be an airon fault, it's eithee spewing cold air or it isn't. it sounds like it might be a fault in the flaps in the air distribution box?

If you change it to feet setting, is there any difference between the sides?
