Just notice a tear on underside inspection. Are those DIY kits any use ? You know the ones that you glue together that don't involve CV joint removal ?

I would regard it as fairly simple but it depends on your level of tools and skill, vw use unusual hub nut types that not every diyer would have.

If you get that far a cone and stretchy boot will be your friend, 15 mins and job done :)

Ideal time to give the BA dewalt impact wrench a work out ;)

I've used those kits a few times and they work extremely well. A trick is to wrap the joint and shaft in cling film while you glue it to keep the grease away.
You only get one chance to glue it!..so practice offering up first.
If it's outer cv it's less hassle than inner to replace.
    Marty.
