Juvenile goals question

Watched a juvenile match yesterday. Floppy poles as goal posts in the mobile goals. Ball hits top of post bends the pole right back. Ref gives the point. Mentors frm team that conceded it saying cant count that as a point as whole of ball didnt go over bar. It was a fairly amicable discussion but Ref said it went between…

Opinionable whether it did as it really hit top of the pole and bent it back. Is there anything written anywhere that clarifies that? Feel sure Ive seen that somewhere written but google searching aint showing anything.
