Anyone following it? Never had the pleasure in playing it myself but helped out in organizing a couple of them. Great occasion and example of what the GAA is all about, community.

Well we couldn't have got a better weekend for it! I was at three venues over the weekend and it was great to see the crowds out and the young lads enjoying it. There was a bit of a difference in the various venues, some thought it was enough to just point teams to a pitch after they spent 1.5 hours getting there and were spending over 3 hours at the place, whilst others pulled out all the stops so I would hope that the Feile committee review the venues for when it comes back this way again, but overall I think the weekend was a great success.

    Who won the football equivalent?
I've seen it widely reported New York won it but according to their twitter Burren Co. Down won it.

Dicksboro are after having some 7 days. Boys won Div 1 cup in the hurling and camogie girls won Div 2 cup.
Boys won Div 5 cup in football and girls won Div 2 cup ( Team was Kilkenny but made up of a lot of girls from Dicksboro).
A fantastic achievement, well done to all concerned

I'd imagine it was a secondary competition. None of the champions from the stronger counties i.e. Cork, Kerry, Galway, Dublin ect took part in the group stages of the competition that NY won.You wouldn't know this going by the GAA website or media reports.

There was a premier Feile in Sligo which hosted the strongest counties - Dublin were represented by the Div 1 Feile Champions Skerries and runners up Na Fianna. Skerries won the Shield final, Burren (Down) won the main one I think beating Austin Stacks

St Mogues, Fethard on Sea, Co Wexford, had an amazing 7 days winning Feile Div 5 in Hurling and Div 7 in football to complete a very rare double.

Why were they not in the official Feile competition?

No mention on the official GAA website either. Bizarre.

I don't really know CB why that top tier group couldn't have been included in the national Feile, other than the fact that they would've been perceived to have been too strong for the hosting clubs.

When I was involved I remember the DCB would send the Div3 champions to represent Dublin in the Div1 nationals
