Sandals for wide feet

I'm facing the bane of my existence: I need sandals because I'm going on holidays in 3 weeks and I'm having such a hard time. I have pretty wide feet and I don't fit into standard sandals that have straps horizontal across the foot close to the toes. they are all too narrow.
I have a pair of Flipflops but I'd like to have something comfy and pretty. I haven't worn open shoes in years because of that and I feel a bit embarrassed but I really want something nice and airy.

Any tips on where to get some?

    Have you tried Birkenstocks?

Had a pair a few years ago, was alright but I'd gladly do with something prettier.

Well, you can get pretty birkenstocks these days - I'm currently coveting these on ASOS

Also, I think NewLook make some of their sandals in a wide fit, have you tried there?

Edit: Just had a quick look and found these, these, and these.

So after that its just a matter of whats to your taste!

Thanks a lot, the last 2 are really nice and very much what I'm looking for.

I know you said you've flip flops but have you tried fit flops? They're quite wide and extremely comfortable- I walked nearly 15k steps daily in them in New York last year without any blisters or pain! And they do some lovely styles.

Penneys and New Look both do wide fit shoes/ sandles.

The problem with most of the wide fit sandals in these shops is that they have a D fit as wide fit and I can only wear toe post sandals, which is fine by me. All the other ones that have straps around the widest part of the foot don't fit or look horrible on my feet because it's all squeezed in.
Definitely going to have a look at the Fitflops.
M&S doesn't have any wide fit toe post sandals unfortunately and the penneys one are permanently gone in my size.
