Civil Service Flexitime

I'm expecting to start a new job in the civil service in the next few months. I worked as a TCO before, so I know how flexi works. But is the calendar the same across all departments? Can anyone post the flexi calendar, or tell me which weekend the current period ends and the new one starts (so I can work the rest out for myself)?

I want to book a long weekend away towards the end of the year, and I want to save my annual leave by taking flexi-leave for it instead if I can.

    Thanks.

It's not the same in all departments. If you know which dept you are going to just give them a call and they will confirm the details.

I don't know the department, I'll just book it and hope for the best. Thanks.

Along the same lines does anybody know if HIQA have a flexi-time policy and how it works if so? Thanks

The flexi weeks you are on are ON your payroll section online.

    Thanks for your reply.
Apologies, my question wasn't clear. I don't currently work at HIQA but have seen some interesting roles advertised and wondered if they have a policy like X time worked over contracted hours in a month can be taken as a half day or full day leave in lieu ? Thanks

Usually the adverts for the job would include terms and conditions including hours of attendance

Thanks, in this case the spec only referenced the number of days annual leave without any other detail so was hoping someone on here might have a little more detail about the flexi aspect. It may simply not have been mentioned because its not part of the standard conditions there but just wanted to ask here in case it exists but just wasn't documented in the spec on this occasion.

    Hi there,
Just wanted to find out a bit more about flexi leave. If i start my day at 8am and want to take a half days flexi leave in the afternoon does this mean I can leave the office at 11.42am?(3hr 43 mins). Or do i have to stay in the office till 12.30pm core time.
    thanks

You’ve to stay until 12.30. The time between 11.42 and 12.30 is added to your clock though so will be of benefit at a later date
