AerLingus - flight overpayment complaint how long?

    I flew with Aerlingus to New York in January.

    Flight has been paid twice.

    I contacted customer service on return in February. They said the issue has been logged in their system and not to contact them about it as it will result in further delays.

    That was 20th February, its now 13 June. I have paid the CC bill cost of c. €600 for their error and would prefer to have the money back.

    Should I contact them again or what is the normal waiting time for this sort of issue?

    Not with air lingus but with Ryanair I've had that issue a couple of times both times through my own fault and while on the phone to Ryanair customer service (i noticed my errors within minutes of making the errors) they processed the refund there and then and had it back in my account within a week. So i think you should call them and call them and call them until something happens. Also email them for a written record.

    Get on to your credit card issuer & initiate a charge back.

    Anyone familiar with the ongoing AerClub fiasco will be well aware of just how shoddy EI's IT & customer service functions have become.
