I planted Lupins, went away for a long weekend, and returned to find every leaf gone. What could be eating it and what can I do about it. I'd like to buy another one or two.

First guess would be slugs and snails.

However mice have been known to eat them too.

Also we were wiped out of our Lupins (among other plants) by rabbits eating them.

Slugs absolutely love Lupins and eat them to the ground. You might be better off growing something similarly tall and colourful but not so appetising - eg delphiniums, Hollyhocks etc

My one sortie into growing delphiniums resulted in them being continually razored to the ground by slugs!
