    I've been thinking up my own business in a while to get off that stupid live register and get away from jobpath program run by social welfare
    Who do a turn to to find out about small business start up grant

    Your local enterprise office is a good place to start.
    They'll give you info on grants and courses on topics like tax and vat to help you get your ducks lined up...

    I'd recommend you do a little pilot study before approaching for grants. See how viable your idea is and what the market is. Its not free cash in terms of a grant and even some pretty decent ideas are turned down.

    Your local office can help you with the admin side of things, but its up to you to make the business viable and I suggest you work out the viability before making a leap.
