    Hey folks,
Going to be selling my trusty 2004 Astra G van soon and I can't remember how it works as I've bought more vans from the UK than from Ireland. I know when you import, even if the van has passed the MOT you still need to DOE and weigh it and apply to use it for carrying goods before driving it here, but what about buying a used van in Ireland?

I'm 99% sure you don't need to DOE or weigh it again, so just like the NCT, but if you want to use it for carrying goods etc you need to declare this as the new user for tax purposes, is this right?

So will be well worth it to get a DOE for it before selling, aye?

Also what do folks think is a fair price for a 2004 perfect condition Astra G van? I see there's been one on adverts.ie for €950 for 2 weeks and it's had no interest, I thought they were worth more than that :(

Any feedback would be great :)

I think they're in junk territory value wise at this stage.

Oh yeah, I've had it for a few years now and it's been DOE'd plenty of times and in great condition. Just double checking I'm thinking right about the DOE and weigh docket rules when selling :)
