Hi Guys, where would be the best place to get fitted for the new M2? Want to make sure I get the correct club & shaft but unsure where to go. Thanks

Especially if you want a lightweight extra stiff shaft, they seem to have a glut of those.

Couldn't agree more. Find it amazing some of the people that have been fitted for lightweight x flex.

Got fitted for mine in golfstyle in galway they spent about 2 hours going through different shafts very good. Ended up with a 70 g kurocage stiff hitting it so well

Not great to be honest, I hit the ball high, relatively long enough but don't get much roll at the end so I was looking to see if a fitting could help to reduce spin. My old driver was a Ping G5 with a Graffalloy Blue X Stiff shaft (fitted 12 years ago), I ended up with an Adila Rogue Stiff for the M2, amazingly 10 - 15 yards shorter than the 12 year old Ping G2 and just as high if not higher. Shaft feels really torquey. The trackman numbers showed the m2 would be 20-25 yards longer, but I don't get those numbers on the course.

Did you get numbers from your fitting ?
Did you test your old driver against your new one at the same time ?
Regardless of all of of this I'd be going back if you are not happy

Got to be careful when getting custom fitted as trackman can be set up for best possible conditions. I.e. heat, run, wind, sea level
All of which can have major impact on results

Which is exactly why I would always say hit your own against any new clubs you are trying

I would have thought that hitting it high would be more of a factor in not getting much roll out than spin tbh.

It very much depends. I hit my new driver higher than my old but get more roll due to lower spin. Land angle is important in this. High launch low spin is the forumla for more distance in a lot of cases so height is not necessarily an issue on its own.

the other thing to bear in mind, when you are getting fitted is that you've probably hitting 100 or so balls with various shafts. Your swing speed is up, your tempo is good and there's no competitive pressure......

this doesn't necessarily translate to the golf course where you're hitting the driver, 14 times over 3 1/2 hours......and looking down through an avenue of trees / bunkers or links rough......

Ah yeah, I understand that. You can get very good roll out if you're hitting up on the ball and getting height that way. But if it's coming off the face high. then it's likely that it will just come down like a sack of spuds.

Actually higher on the face increases loft and reduces spin if hitting up. But that is a big if. I agree that a lot of times if hitting down and catching it high on the face you get the sack of spuds.
