Can my flight be cancelled by Booking Agent?

I booked some flights I saw referenced on Secret Flying recently, I had a bit of trouble actually booking them online through the agent. Eventually after the 3rd time of booking the flights and then getting a "Booking declined email" a few minutes later I got fed up and rang the particular company in the UK and they booked the flights for me over the phone on slightly different days for a good price.

Anyway, the agent has sent me on the booking details, the money has been taken from my account and my flight details come up as confirmed when I put my name and reference into the Lufthansa website.

Am I OK to go ahead and start booking accommodation etc... for the rest of my trip?

The reason I ask is that after booking the flight I googled the particular agent who booked the flights and the first couple of pages of results are all 1 star reviews and complaints about the company cancelling peoples flights last minute and people having to rebook at more expensive prices.

What company was it? If you've a booking reference from Lufthansa I'd go ahead and get booking. Most places on booking.com have free cancellation anyway.

A lot of those online travel agents have poor reviews but it's usually because the only people who leave reviews are disgruntled customers. I've used a good few and had no issues.

The Company is CrystalTravel UK/Moresand Ltd (I believe there's a Crystal Travel in Ireland too who I don't think are connected).

Actually when I checked a few weeks ago they had a 1 star review on Trustpilot, this seems to be up to 4 stars now. Interesting! The forums with the complaints are still there though.

I follow secret flying and can guess what this is about. Was there an error fare you purchased which the airline has now cancelled? or is it you are concerned it may be cancelled?

No it wasn't an error fare. They were flights from London to Seattle in August, I think the deal listed on Secret Flying was for the start of August which didn't suit me so I played around with the dates a bit and got flights for the end of August which were slightly more than the price listed on Secret Flying but still a good deal.

I followed through the link from Momondo and booked with the agent who was the cheapest, put in my details, credit card etc... then a couple of hours later I got a an email saying my booking was declined.

I went in again the next night, had to play around with the dates again and got dates slightly different to the night before. This time there was a different travel agent who came up cheaper so put in my details, credit card etc... and again got a booking declined email shortly afterwards. I was kinda pissed off at this stage so I rang the agent to see what the story was as per my OP and they booked it for me over the phone.

So my concern isn't that this in danger of being cancelled as it is an error fare just that reading the online reviews of this travel agent they seems to have a history of cancelling peoples bookings last minute.
