Tempted. Is the memory enough for a casual gamer?

500Gb- however, you can easily upgrade it if you want more (there are numerous videos on Youtube which detail step-by-step how to do so).

You can plug an external HDD in now (at last) via USB..

Its handier just swapping out the hard-drive- but yes, the ability to use a USB drive is compelling.

It is a lot easier to plug an external drive into the usb port than remove the old HDD, fit the new HDD to the casing and put back into the PS4.

I know neither are a massive job but the external is really handy especially if your games are digital and you want to bring them to a friend's.

Pop it in a backpack and bring the machine and your controllers etc with you.
Nice backpacks for just this purpose on Amazon- and a few speciality bag sellers (hell, even Kipling do one).

Very tempted, have a 50 quid gamestop voucher burning a hole in my wallet. How decent are Gamestop on tradeins? Just put about 30 old xbox 360 and ps3 games through the Cex site and nearly started crying....

They'll give you less than CEX. PS3 and 360 games are virtually worthless now.

Just called Gamestop Portlaoise store. They have 9 black PS4's left as of 3.20pm today. They also said they are including a free game from a list of older titles.

Rumors are that this will be a permanent cut post Monday E3. A USB drive is more convienent and faster actually due ot hte slow SATA port in PS4 (and Xbox One). And you can move your games around or format base unit without downloading everything again. Make sure you buy a USB 3.0 only external HDD, not a 2.0/3.0 one some stores are still trying to peddle

Just got a call from gamestop,so even thiugh you pay online it still must be collected before close of business tonight or else pay the extra in store tomorrow morning when price goes back up!

If you have bought it when the deal is on they will honour the price.

external HDDs are the only way to go as your built-in HDD will likely have games/saves/settings that you downloaded prior to filling up the drive, and the hassle of having to re-download/re-configure the lot is a joy.

Plus as mentioned before you can transport external drives and swap in new ones instantly.
