Oil grants

    Hi folks,
    Was visiting an elderly neighbour earlier and he was telling me he is thinking of putting oil into the house. He has a stanley range plumbed in already and heating the radiators. He had a local councillor in visiting one day who told him he wouldnt get a grant as he already has a form of central heating. Is the seai grant still on the go? Would he qualify for heating controls and boiler upgrade grant without previously having a boiler? Hes getting on and wants the oil for convenience. Sorry for the long winded story and thanks for any advice

    Once the house is 10 years or older and he fits a new boiler and controls and it's installed by an seai installer then yes. The grant is 750 euro.
